Member of Moscow Ophthalmologic Society and Russian Ophthalmologic Society, member of American Academy of Ophthalmology, member of European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. Member of the Scientific Council of State Research Institute of Eye Diseases, member of the Editorial Board of Russian edition of an international magazine for ophthalmologists “EyeWorld”. Scientific interests and practical skills:Author of more than 80 publications, inventions and innovations. Many times took the floor in scientific conferences and international symposiums in Russia and abroad. Main directions of scientific activities include research and development of new technological solutions during ultrasound and laser phacoemulsification of cataract in cases of combined ophthalmopathology (glaucoma, defects of ligamentous capsular apparatus of the lens, myopia of high degree, dystrophy of retina, dystrophy of cornea, unsatisfactory state after various eye operations) and also by concomitant illnesses (ischemic heart disease, hypertension, atherosclerosis, diabetes and others).
Masters perfectly well modern methods of diagnostics and treatment of patients with different ophthalmopathology, carries out active surgical activities. Fulfilled about 15 000 operations. Implements operations of cataract extraction with IOL implantation using contemporary technologies (ultrasound and aqualase phacoemulsification), antiglaucomatous operations, penetrating keratoplasty and lay-by-lay keratoplasty, scleroplastic operations by progressive myopia.
Short biographyIn 1989 graduated from Kalinin State Medical Institute and during one year worked as an ophthalmologist in Syria. From 1992 until 1994 was in clinical study in Moscow Medical Academy, specialty “eye diseases”, chair of eye diseases. In June 1998 completed post-graduate study on the chair of eye diseases of Moscow Medical Academy. In 1998 defended the candidate’s thesis “Perfection of technology of urgent keratoplasty by inflammatory diseases of cornea”, in 2000 – the M.D. thesis “New possibilities of perfection of modern phacoemulsification by different kinds of cataracts”.
